Bridging the digital and the physical

Interactive Field

Interactive Field is a study inspired by the work of Annica Cuppetelli and Cristobal Mendoza.

Users can interact with a kinetic system of strings by moving their hands. The movement is captured by a Kinect device that recognizes human body and gestures.

We’ve developed a C++ application, based on Lib Cinder that uses data from the Kinect device and applies force to the digital model in real-time.
